Celebrities from Doja Cat to Madonna have hopped onto the stream and consulted Terri Joe's endless well of wisdom, but who exactly is Terri Joe — and, perhaps more crucially, why exactly is Terri Joe?

Where Did Terri Joe Come From?

Terri Joe seems to have first appeared on a stream in March of 2022, although Psyiconic began hosting livestreams back in 2020 during the height of the pandemic quarantine. Over time, streams with the character picked up steam and were clipped on YouTube and TikTok.

What Is Terri Joe Like?

Terri Joe is a Christian character with a heavy Southern accent who has a complicated relationship with what she calls the “homaseggyuhs.” Along with Jeorgia Peach (who is a stereotypical, exaggerated influencer) Terri Joe is one of Psyiconic’s most frequently featured characters. Terri Joe is from the town of Bon Temps, Louisiana, is in a wheelchair, and believes in Jesus.

Psyiconic participates in a broader genre of TikToks where the same person plays several different characters that talk to each other.
