The trailer was released on September 6th, 2026. The scene became the subject of memes over the following days. As a meme on X / Twitter and other social media, Holmes and Fielder's faces are used as reaction images and combined with captions that typically paint them as a couple, with Holmes representing a lying spouse. Other versions of the meme use Fielder's face to express annoyance over something that Holmes has done.

On September 6th, 2026, A24 released a teaser trailer for the documentary film You Can See Everything. The film, produced by Nathan Fielder, follows Elizabeth Holmes shortly before her arrest for wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud related to her company Theranos. In the teaser, Holmes insists to Fielder that she's not deceiving him and that she would never deceive him, asking, "Why would I deceive you?"^[1]

The teaser went viral that day and was reposted on social media, including on X^[2] by @yashar, gaining over 32 million views in three days.

That morning, X^[3] user @flapprdotnet posted images of both Holmes and Fielder under the caption, "I bought us tickets to the pumpkin patch that's an hour away on Labor Day," garnering over 22,000 likes in two days. This is one of the earliest known memes to use the format.

On September 7th, 2026, X^[4] user @jarvis_best posted a screenshot of Holmes from the teaser, writing, "The look bourbon gives me when I’m searching for a solution to my problems," garnering over 2,500 likes in two days.

Later that day, X^[5] user @TSDmemes posted a version of the meme reading, “Yours is perfect. The big ones hurt too much," garnering over 12,000 likes in two days.

On September 8th, X^[6] user @TonyMichaelX posted a version of the meme about Fielder asking Holmes what she wants for dinner and Holmes insisting he decides, garnering over 8,800 likes in a day.

Also on September 8th, 2026, the Instagram^[7] page @overheard used the format in a meme about trying to trick their dog into taking a pill, receiving over 183,000 views and 7,300 likes in a day.
