Yiannopoulos posted an iMessage screenrecording earlier this week, showing chats where Connelly supposedly talks about how legalizing nitrous oxide needs to be a "long term goal," even as Milo warns against the detrimental effects of taking nitrous. However, the first time Kanye was directly compared to Golden Freddy in reference to his supposed nitrous issue was a May 4th, 2024 post from X user @GoodAssSub, who aggregates posts from a Kanye fan subreddit by the same name.

After Yiannopoulos shared iMessage records supposedly incriminating Kanye's dentist, many FNAF fans and X users noted that Kanye's contact photo in the texts is Golden Freddy from FNAF. The posts set off a new, even more viral chain of meme events, where internet users posted memes likening the rapper to the ghostly horror character.
