Pokémon Masters, the highly-anticipated mobile game from DeNA which unites memorable trainers from across core-series Pokémon games on Pasio Island, released last night a day early, much to the initial delight of players hotly anticipating its release. However, that delight quickly turned to irritation as many players found that they encountered an error message when attempting to start playing.

It appears that the Pokémon Masters servers were quickly overwhelmed by the horde of fans eagerly swarming Pasio Island, which is not very surprising for a highly-anticipated Pokémon mobile game (the same thing happened with Pokémon Go). Nevertheless, Pokémon fans, like children given a gaming console on Christmas and told they can't play it until the next day, were extremely frustrated. A surge of memes spread across social media as Pokémon fans adapted many popular templates to express just how badly they wanted into Pasio. One template, Let Me In proved particularly popular:

Naturally, there were also object labeling labeling memes.

Others felt Pasio was akin to heaven.

For what it's worth, early reviews of the game are mostly positive, as Kotaku wrote that the animations and story were very good, and that there is as of yet no intense pressure to use real money to improve at the game. Nintendo World Report, however, wrote the game is an "unfriendly" gacha title, and though the battle system was fun, the story was thin and the game was difficult to exit out of.
