Even if you’re not into celebrity drama, you know about the cheating scandals that have taken over the internet. You might not care about most of them, but after seeing the way Adam Levine DMs people, you’re probably feeling deeply invested for some strange reason.

But now, we’ve had two particularly shocking affairs revealed over the past couple of weeks. Both are absolutely worth the internet’s attention, but for very different reasons.

Celebrities cheat on their wives. This is a common occurrence. In fact, it's hard to find a celebrity husband that hasn’t had a cheating scandal at some point. Celebrity wives do it too, it’s just not as well recognized. We’re not really sure why they’re so determined to cheat, but it’s become some commonplace that we’re not even surprised anymore when news about it breaks.

But lately, things have been getting weird. The fact that "That body of yours is absurd" is now part of our online dialect is proof enough that this is happening way too often.

There’s even a theory going around that Prince William is into getting pegged in extramarital affairs, which some people claim is well-known knowledge amongst British elites. Apparently, we’re getting too invested in these people’s terrible love lives, because we’ve unearthed some truly disturbing things.

Adam Levine was exposed for cheating on his wife, which he has essentially admitted to in a social media post. The thing is, he’s not only a cheater, but he’s also the worst sexter ever.

By now, you’ve seen the leaked messages everywhere, so a complete explanation of what he’s said isn’t necessary. And that’s a good thing because there’s no way to explain why he said what he said in the first place because no normal human being would ever talk like this.

The Ned Fulmer from The Try Guys cheating scandal is the next big controversy online because this one feels like a slap in the face to fans of BuzzFeed’s comedy series The Try Guys.

Similar to John Mulaney, who has fallen out of favor due to his affair with model Olivia Munn, Ned often had a form of humor that relied on lighthearted jokes about his good relationship with his wife. And it was exposed online by none other than Ned’s mistress’s fiance, which makes it even sadder.

Rather than having his DMs turned into memes, everyone’s instant dislike of Ned and his response that it was just a “consensual relationship with a coworker” led to lots of people roasting him online.

Though these are the biggest celebrity drama moments from the past month — and it’s easy to see why, they’re only several of hundreds of similar stories out there, all of which have had their unfortunate moments in the spotlight.

It’s hard to say why we obsess over these cheating scandals sometimes, but other times it’s much more obvious, like how Adam Levine’s leaked DMs were just begging to be made into an embarrassing meme format.

It’s possible that our obsession with the other cheating scandals comes from our own desires to feel better about our relationships or lack thereof, because even if things aren’t going too great between you and your partner, at least your partner isn’t telling models on Instagram that they "may need to see the booty."
