See The Winner Of February 2023's Meme Of The Month!
And the meme of February 2023 goes to…
AI Presidents Gaming is the breakthrough format of February for all the right reasons: it's creative, funny, entertaining, and, most importantly, innovative. Demonstrating what AIs are capable of when put to good use, the format imagines United States Presidents trash-talking each other in Fortnite and Warzone, reminiscing about classics, discussing their favorite anime series and much, much more. We as humanity still have to figure out how ethical and legal all of this is, but in the meantime, enjoy the memes. First place with 28 percent of your votes.

J.K. Rowling Naming Characters
This may be a bit of an upset, but the votes are here for it: the memes about J.K. Rowling thinking up subtly offensive names for her characters grab the second place with 16 percent of your votes. Stemming from a 2020 trend and rekindled by the recent release of Hogwarts Legacy (and more specifically, by a transgender character named Sirona), the jokes entertained Twitter for the good part of the month, spawning gems such as Potatofamin Carbomb, Kangaroo Spidervenom and, of course, Sergay Lovecock.
Pizza Tower
The Wario Land-inspired platformer that enraptured nostalgic 90s gamers and the new generation of platformer fans alike, Pizza Tower got everyone's attention with its simple yet stylish aesthetic, fast pace and, of course, it's charismatic protagonist, Peppino Spaghetti. Getting that S rank has been a challenge, and many artists naturally turned to drawing fan art to unwind. Overall, Pizza Tower has been a feast of memes and good fandom vibes, so 12 percent of votes and the third place are well-deserved.
Animan Studios / Axel in Harlem
In the fourth place, we have Axel in Harlem seductively sitting as the top three watch what's there at the bottom. The meme is in the same boat as Ankha Zone due to its origin, but unlike many other The Joke Is Porn memes, it ultimately turned into a redraw / reanimation format. Axel and his voluptuous buttocks strolling down Harlem get 12 percent of your votes.
Chinese Spy Balloon
It's a plane! It's a bird! It's a Chinese spy balloon (inconclusive evidence).
The spherical balloon that flew over the United States before ultimately getting shot down over South Carolina caused an uproar on social media as users shared footage of it, some cooking up plans to take it down somehow, others arguing whether it was a spy balloon or a civilian aerostat like China claimed. It would later turn out that the balloon was far from the craziest thing spotted in the air this month (more on this below), so the best we can do is fifth place with eight percent of your votes.
Ballerina Twins / Biden Blast
Sharing sixth place with exactly the same number of votes are Biden Blast and Ballerina Twins (3 percent each).
Biden Blast, along with the rest of Joe Biden's recently discovered moveset, provided not only a fine reaction for Dark Brandon acolytes to use, but also a redraw template.
Meanwhile, in the hornier parts of the web, Ballerina Twins from Atomic Heart filled the void left by Lady Dimitrescu's departure from the meta.
And here we have our top seven for the month. Don't see your favorite meme there? That's probably because it just didn't make it to the top. But don't fret – we were just about to mention the formats that just didn't have it in them to reach for the stars: Dagoth Ur and it's AI voice clone (3%), Christianity's own "Chainsaw Man, Christ-For-Arms (3%), controversial yet popular Hogwarts Legacy (3%), unshackling ChatGPT with DAN (2%), Kevin Hart Reaction Images for every occasion (2%), My Top Surgery (it went really well) (1%), MrBeast being unironically labeled Antichrist (2%), Cammy from Tekken stretching her back (1%) and, finally, the UFOs spotted over Alaska and Lake Huron (1%).
Thank you for voting and see you next month!
