Cammy Stretch or Cammy Pose is a redraw and fan art format that uses a frame of the Street Fighter 6 character Cammy stretching her back with her hands locked together over her head. Spawned by a trailer for the game, the format achieved major virality in artist communities online in late February 2023.

Origin

On February 23rd, 2023, a trailer for Street Fighter 6 characters Zangief, Cammy and Lily premiered, gaining over 870,000 views on Twitter^[1] and 610,000 views on YouTube^[2] in three days (shown below). At the 2:42 mark in the trailer, Cammy performs a taunt animation, stretching her back.

On February 23rd, Twitter^[3] user @UltimaShadowX posted a two-second clip of Cammy stretching, with the video garnering over 800,000 views, 4,400 retweets and 40,100 likes in four days (shown below).

Spread

The animation inspired a viral redraw and fan art trend among artists on Twitter, Pixiv and other platforms in the following days. For example, on February 23rd, 2023, artist @KdeKercy tweeted^[4] a pixel art redraw that gained over 2,400 retweets and 18,600 likes in four days (shown below, left). Also that day, artist @h_wallacepires tweeted^[5] a fan art of Cammy doing stretches next to a cat. The post gained over 1,900 retweets and 18,000 likes in four days (shown below, right).

In late February 2023, multiple submissions to the trend went viral on social media. For example, a humorous fan art posted by artist @hershuar on February 24th gained over 4,200 retweets and 27,800 likes on Twitter^[6] in three days (shown below, left). A Zangief redraw posted on Twitter^[7] by artist @AwesomeTomato18 on February 25th garnered over 3,500 retweets and 19,200 likes in two days (shown below, right).
