In the aftermath of Ava Kris Tyson's departure from the MrBeast channel following a series of troubling allegations surrounding her, some social media users are now digging into MrBeast's past, with one controversial moment recently being unearthed.

Today, there's been a clip going viral online of MrBeast making an inappropriate comment about then-14-year-old Bhad Bhabie, aka the Cash Me Ousside girl, with some calling for him to be canceled.

So is the clip real and is there more context? Where does the comment come from and why is it coming to light now? Here's what we know.

What Did MrBeast Say About Bhad Bhabie On The 'Hot Wet Soup' Podcast?

Back between May 23rd and June 14th, 2017, MrBeast appeared on the Hot Wet Soup podcast, hosted by content creators Leon Lush, Elvis the Alien and Bionic Pig TV. The episode has been removed since then, but is still available through the Internet Archive. On July 24th, 2024, a clip from the podcast began going viral on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In the short video, one of the hosts alleges that content creator Keemstar "likes" the Cash Me Ousside girl (better known now as pop artist Bhad Bhabie) and finds her funny. MrBeast casually asks, "Let's be real, you wouldn't put your d--k in her?" The hosts claim they would not and MrBeast laughs, adding, "I was hoping you'd say yes. Yeah, I wouldn't either. She's way too young." At the time, Bhad Bhabie would have been roughly 14 years old.

How Is Social Media Reacting To The Clip And Is There Context Missing?

The clip is going viral on X, with many users expressing their shock over MrBeast's statement. Since then, another moment from the same podcast has started making the rounds in which MrBeast said, "Let's say something offensive that people can take out of context."

Some are saying that MrBeast says this before making the Bhad Bhabie comment, however, this is not the case. MrBeast says this later in the podcast about an unrelated topic.

So, it appears that the video is not being taken out of context. It's worth mentioning, however, that the entire podcast is riddled with offensive, edgy humor. It's somewhat well-known that MrBeast used to be a lot less PC with his style of comedy in the past and cleaned up his humor as his content began to grow.

From the context provided, it seems as though MrBeast was telling what was meant to be an edgy joke. The statement he adds after the supposed joke, "I was hoping you'd say yes. Yeah, I wouldn't either. She's way too young," suggests this further.

Despite this, many seem to believe this joke was a step too far and that MrBeast should not have made it at all — hence the flak he's currently getting.
