A new ad unit is going to be deployed on entry pages that will feature an auto-play video that will play audio on mouse over. It should only load once per day per user. If you experience any technical issues relating to this please contact Brad, James or myself.

Autoplay but only when moused over?

Interesting. I've seen these ads elsewhere. At least they won't be too annoying as long as you dodge them. A lot better than the actual autoplay videos that you can't find.

Even if they still play at least the audio is muted.

I sent a message to brad, but I just started having issues with the ads as seen below.

And that was without a mouse over. The ads are inconsistent in size and overlapping the actual content on the page.

Bump. It's still happening.

I haven't noticed it on my regular computer because I have adblock, but on the school computers it is way oversized.

That's not related to the video ad and it's being investigated.

Oh! Now I see. I didn't realize the video ad was actually in the entry itself on the entry page.

I like that a lot better. It disappears after it is done. That's not too bad, except it looks like it is playing once per page instead of once per day. Edit: I can get it to load about once every 3 pages if I cycle through them.
