I calculate about 24 days until the end of this thread (7 pages a day on average…)

So the treads gone up 30 pages in four days, and that's before they started showing new episodes again. By my calculations we'll need to make a new tread before the end of the month.

Just imagin the chaos that will ensue after the new episode this coming weekend

What is Equestria's economy…? They have capitalism (boo) but they also don't appear to buy much… We need moar canon interpretations of their economy.

Well, they have a free enough market to allow for Applejack's entrepreneurship. Also, Celestia's rule does not seem to be constrained by any sort of constitution or any elected representatives. While this normally means that she would have an autocracy, it also means that she has to delegate pretty much everything. Adding to that the extremely rural Equestrian countryside, and I would guess that their economic system looks something like the mix of lasses faire domestic economics and mercantile international economics that prevailed right up until "The Wealth of Nations" came out.

@phoenix: I think that if Applejack were unable to provide the correct counters, Dash would beat her ass in.

And the two would promptly laugh it off because they're best friends and it wasn't actually a fight at all, but just play sparring.

I just realize something after the fact that MLP is one years old. I just don't want to think about this but…Like all amazing shows, Samuria Jack, dragon ball z, and Family guy…. What would happen when MLP FiM ends too?….(It's a depressing thought I know but it will happen sooner or later…)

See, I expect Dash to have about the same build as an Olympic sprinter, only with the focus on her wings rather than her legs. Any muscle involved in flying will be toned to perfection, but everything else would probably ignored – including her arms and legs. Applejack, being a farmer, will have had her exercise spread out over everything. She will never be the best in the world at any one activity, but she'll probably outdo Dash at any non-flying sport they take part in.

Well, from the two, AJ obviously has the advantage of strenght and resistance, but that's quickly balanced with RD speed and stamina.
And added the fact that both are over the top competitors and hate loosing to each other, I can't really tell who would win. Just say that would be a long fight.

Economics and Government. I know little of either. I'll second the "laissez faire" approach that Platus suggested. I know enough of that kind of hands-off economy but nothing of mercantilism (and I'm a little busy to get a working grasp of it from Wikipedia until later.) You philosophical mad man, you.

Actual boxing? I assume that flying isn't allowed. Rainbow Dash showed that she has greater front leg strength (hoof wrestle match from Fall Weather Friends) and balance (balancing bouncing balls from the same episode.) They both have about the same raw running speed (neither seemed to consistently outrun the other in the Running of the Leaves,) but outside of "toonish" type of moments where any pony can move very quickly, I feel as if Dash is quicker in making short movements essential for boxing.

In AJ's favor, I get the feeling as if she has a much tougher jaw than Dash and is a bit more calculating, as you say. But still, Dash is probably no slouch when it comes to being focused for a competition. She seems to thrive on it even more than Applejack.
 
So I'd say any mental edge that Applejack has is probably trumped by Rainbow Dash's basic mental competency in any athletic competition and a huge advantage in related skill areas. Rainbow Dash outlasts Applejack for the entire match and scores more blows. There's an off-chance that Rainbow Dash lowers her guard and gets TKO'ed by Applejack in the mid-late rounds or very, very early in the first round.
