The Dor Brothers' AI Politicians Videos refers to a series of AI-generated videos of various politicians and other public figures such as Donald Trump, Elon Musk and Kim Jong-un imagined as gun-wielding outlaws or tough types solving problems with violence, with the videos usually set to energetic rap music. The loosely connected series started in August 2024, managing to go viral on X / Twitter multiple times.

Origin

The Dor Brothers is a German production company that was founded in 2019 and pivoted to AI production in 2022.[1] In meme culture, the company is known primarily for creating AI videos in which politicians and prominent public figures are imagined walking around with guns and breaking the law in various ways.

On August 21st, 2024, The Dor Brothers posted an AI-generated video titled "The Hustle," created with Grok AI and set to "Big Dawgs" by Hanumankind, a video montage of clips featuring Donald Trump, Kamala Harris, Elon Musk, Pope Francis and other public figures committing armed robberies of convenience stores and getting apprehended by police. The video (shown below) garnered over 3,500 reposts and 13,000 likes on X[2] and 245,000 views on YouTube[3] in three months.



Spread

In late August 2024, the video saw viral spread on X / Twitter as multiple accounts reposted it, including viral posts by X[4][5] account @weirddalle, which garnered over 16 million views, and @cicada3301_kig, which accrued over 11 million views in three months (captioned repost by user @INVESTMENTSHULK[6] shown below).


On August 28th, 2024, The Dor Brothers posted a sequel video that received over 2,600 reposts and 8,800 likes on X[7] and 200,000 views on YouTube[8] in three months. On August 28th, X[9] account @ClownWorld_ reposted the video, with the post (shown below) gaining over 32,000 reposts and 178,000 likes in three months.


Throughout the fall of 2024, The Dor Brothers posted more similar AI-generated videos of politicians. Notably, on November 19th, 2024, the production studio posted the AI video "The Drill," which gained over 4,600 reposts and 13,000 likes on X[10] and went viral in the following days (shown below).
