Awesomeness lies below!

BOOM!
Vinyl's in the house!
What an unexpected little treat!
I don't even like dubstep or anything, but this was a really cool vignette that just oozed character.
Vinyl lives in her own world of music!
Music that infects and molds the world around her!
Fear its power!
What do we learn from this?
Seeing Vinyl get this much direct attention officially upgrades her status as a character another tier. I'd say she's officially on the level of Derpy at this point. She's really only missing a voice, though I have a real soft spot for stories told with dialogue so this was fun and I wouldn't care if she never spoke. Anyway, since Derpy has some lingering taboos about her, I think Vinyl is becoming the surrogate fandom-nod character and I'm very much fine with that.
Rock on, Scratch!
When everyone else is moving in slow-motion, Pinkie seems normal. The implications of this are both completely expected yet still terrifying…
Diamond Tiara (or maybe Silver Spoon) owns a purse-chihuahua. That fits almost too well.
Cranky's toupee is no more convincing when he is in human form than when he is a donkey. He does seem to have lightened up a bit though, so that's nice.
And the best part of all:
We have seven more of these things on the way!
Not a clue what the release schedule is going to be but I anticipate fun!
I wonder if they will all focus on background/side characters or if the main cast will be more prominent?
Since they are just going to be bonus content on the DVDs, I could see them straying a bit which sounds really cool!
Overall, I really like this video and the promise of more to come.
Not only is it cool in itself, it is a look into the life of an otherwise unexplored character, an example of the animation style and skill coming to the new movie, and an above-and-beyond fandom reference showing that the show's staff is still having a hell of a lot of fun producing this stuff!
I was pretty much 'meh' to 'pessimistic' about Rainbow Rocks, but this showing has definitely bumped me up to 'cautiously optimistic.'
I hope the full movie has a similar level of love put into it.

Cool, but what happens if Rainbow falls to her near-death, does she rescue herself?
Wonderbolts to the rescue!
@Derpibooru Ducks
As Crash said, I'm pretty sure it's a misspelling.
I poked around a bit and apparently it might have been an unintentional typo the first time ('I' and 'U' are right next to each other after all) and it just caught on due to its silliness.
I don't think it is actually related, but I think I remember first becoming aware of the term around the time of May the Best Pet Win so I always connected it to the infamous 'Layer Duck.'
DAMN DUCK BROKE THE RULES!
