@Shipping Forum Users
This looks pretty strange. If I try this, what happens if I get shipped? Am I even good shipping material?

But then again i'm just a biomechanical robot from the Bionicle universe in a world full of happy colorful ponies.

FREELOADERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Forum Shipping

You're all just a bunch of freeloaders. I was doing it when it was still creepy before it was cool.

The USS Bulletcaro and its sister ship the USS Bluefifths have left port and are standing by to engage any ship that dares to try and stop the non-sexual jacking off.

@Verbose

You see what happens when you come back? What insanity we descend into?

You should have returned weeks ago.

Am I gonna have to post the list on each page for the mods to update?

Freeloaders:
Stunthead
Platus
Bionicle
xTSGx

Dominance:
BSoD
Platus
vintiezre
Rarity(?)

It begins with the known facts…

Notice how Rainbow Dash's hopes are turned up by this…

Then they find themselves a private place…

Oh, and someone walks in on them.

Not how I'll actually the stories (like my fanfics, I'll put effort into them), but one of them will have to follow this formula… right?

@Bionicle
This should answer your question…

Did somebody say SHIPPING?!

My personal OTP is RandomMan X CrashGordon94. You may be asking "But Kewlb00b, CrashGordon94 is the new guy to Pony thread, how is he already being shipped with RandomMan?" Well it's simple, because RandomMan ALWAYS gets first dibs on the fresh meat right amirite? Think about it, we've all been shipped with RandomMan at one point or another, it's just a way of Pony thread.

Welcome to the boards CrashGordon94! Now prepare your anus for RandomMan, it's been a while since we've had a newbie here.

I was asking that actually… O_o I'm not even a pony! D:
Thanks for the welcome though! :D Honestly, I'm just surprised that I just came to sort out a few niggly questions and now I'm sucked into… something.

Hey, man. I just post Ponus and keep things civil.

Whether or not people go squirrel poop mad is not an issue as long as it's not contagious.

Stay calm

As for a bit of actual pony news, Hasbro just announced their exclusive pony for Comic Con this year and guess who it is!

<div class=spoiler title="DUN DUN DUN!!!">

SPARKLY-ASS VINYL SCRATCH!
Yep, she's gone totally 70s – 80s era glam on us!
She even comes in a special box that lights up!

(Gotta love the "This is an adult collectable. This is not a toy" disclaimer down there,too.)

Here's the official announcement for anyone interested.

So that's pretty damn awesome!
A worthy follow-up to last year's Derpy.
If only I could actually go to Comic Con…

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to follow Crimson's lead.

Okay… I just want to note something…

You know those two famous Friendship is Witchcraft tunes? (Pinkie's Brew and Gypsy Bard?)

Am I the only one who when listening to one forgets which one I'm listening to?

They sound like they'd synchronize quite well, they have a similar style…

Heck… At this point… I feel like if one switched over lyrics half way through, nobody would notice!

So… How come I haven't seen that many mashups of the two?

(Or have they been done and I just haven't noticed because they are just too similar?)

A guy that work in a theater got this blu-ray

Why do I get the feeling the whole movie will be leaked online before it releases?

EDIT: Equestria Girls is 72min in length.

The highest allowable bitrate for the video stream of a DCP is 250Mbps or 29.8MiB/s. Since the animation does not have a high amount of spatial detail, let's assume 50% compression, so the actual bitrate is 14.9MiB/s. The disc (from the label) contains a stereo and a 5.1 audio track. Let's assume 8 channels total at 48000 samples per second at 24 bits per sample. This yields a total of 1.1MiB/s of audio. So every second, the total bitrate is about 16MiB/s and the total DCP would be about 69GB.
So is it a standard BluRay? Maybe. The format usually used by theaters is media-independent and can even be split among multiple volumes (that can be on different media, eg. the movie on a HDD sled and the previews on a DVD-R, or the movie split between many small HDDs) or distributed digitally. If it was a DCP and not a Blu-Ray it would be about 69GB, but that is close enough to a Blu-Ray's max capacity of 50GB that it's quite possible that it may be a DCP and my math is really bad. However I'm inclined to say it is, in fact, a standard Blu-Ray because of the Dolby Labs logos. This implies a format other than Linear PCM for the audio, which is the only acceptable format for distribution.
TL;DR: This is likely a regular Blu-Ray because the audio is in a Dolby Labs format which is not allowed in a Digital Cinema Pack. Other than that, it's possible that they could fit a DCP in there.

@Equestria Girls Disk think

Okay… So the cover art looks to still have the pony ears and Wings on Human!Sparkle.

…I'm assuming that means… That the Facade of Twilight Sparkle being Human is going to start breaking down at some point and all the Humans start turning into ponies… And every being gets really confused.

Well… Confused… Or The Mane Six Doppelgangers start remembering the lives of their counterparts and… something…

If the end goes something like "We are all connected, even across worlds" and tries to use the alternate self thing as proof… Who would feel like screaming? (Joy or frustration based screaming both count.)

I don't think that's real…

Why would the production company leave "Begins June 16 – MLPEG.COM" on the cover? If it's a DCP, there wouldn't be any reason to have "Blu-Ray Disc" on there at all, as it's not for open release. If it's a public copy (release version), then it would have packaging, not just a clear plastic case. You usually only get the clear plastic cases for blank Blu-Ray discs – which tells me this is probably just a slightly shopped copy of the release poster pasted onto a blank Blu-Ray disc.

I don't have anything else to say, so here's Trixie holding a teddy bear:

I just realized something – the movie comes out on June 16, which some of you might know better as motherfucking Bloomsday – the most erudite holiday of them all, dedicated to celebrating the literature of James Joyce.

That is a very strange combination. Someone should do a crossover fic.

9.9/10 really, really good photoshopping.

Also, EqG screenshots:

Oh god, the 4chan rumors are looking more and more accurate.

@Crimson

Alright, let me first say that I think it's a cool design. I like the colors, mane, whatever. You need to work on your basic understanding of proportion and perspective.

The biggest error that I see you keep making with your ponies is that you draw their torsos too long and they are too thin in the middle. It gives your drawings an uncanny valley effect as it looks like your pony is getting pulled apart.

@Fifths: Duly noted, this was a teensy bit a rush job (and yet it somehow took me longer than Kewl's OC O_o) However, I will have to disagree with you on my torsos. I should work on making my ponies less anorexic looking, but I like the longer look of my ponies. This may sound like a bit of a lame excuse, but the long torsos are sort of my own stylistic choice. I'm not trying to imitate the show, I'm trying to go for my own style (which admittedly still needs work and with the help of show vectors as reference)

(Also, I think you somewhat misused the term uncanny valley)

EDIT: Fixed Disturbed

(Only thing I could find with James Joyce in it. :shrug:)

@EQG Disc
While I have no real idea about the legitimacy of that particular disc, the suppositions made from it seem to be spot on, though they were made in a rather inefficient manner.
You can either do all the math based on the storage capacity and bit rate of a Blu-Ray disc…

Or you could just go to any of the pages of the theaters selling tickets.
All of them directly list the running time at 1 hr, 12 min.
No fancy mathematics required!

What has science done?!

(To note, these are just graphic mock-ups, but apparently there are going to be real things that will be somewhat similar to these.)

@DeadParrot222

Those letters have become rather infamous. There's even a Hark! A Vagrant! comic about them:

Here is a little snippet (NSFW):

My love for you allows me to pray to the spirit of eternal beauty and tenderness mirrored in your eyes or fling you down under me on that softy belly of yours and fuck you up behind, like a hog riding a sow, glorying in the very stink and sweat that rises from your arse, glorying in the open shape of your upturned dress and white girlish drawers and in the confusion of your flushed cheeks and tangled hair. It allows me to burst into tears of pity and love at some slight word, to tremble with love for you at the sounding of some chord or cadence of music or to lie heads and tails with you feeling your fingers fondling and tickling my ballocks or stuck up in me behind and your hot lips sucking off my cock while my head is wedged in between your fat thighs, my hands clutching the round cushions of your bum and my tongue licking ravenously up your rank red cunt.

Yah, you basically just sent that letter to Applejack. Good job. :D

The whole letter, and the other even dirtier letters, can be found here.

Uh oh, Crimson finished her work (looking fantastic btw). That means I need to get into gear again. BRB, have artwork to do.

@chowz

10 days until the alleged Bronypocalypse? Well, I can safely say that my jimmies are ready.

How badly does Equestria Girls have to do at the Box Office to be considered a 'flop'? The movie is being released only for a few days, has a marketing strategy that makes Dredd 3D look like a Hollywood Summer Blockbuster, has no celebrity voices, still uses flash. Obviously the budget for this movie is like….maybe a Million or less? They're selling it to a fanbase that despite the vocal minority shouting RUINED FOREVER at the sight of the movie poster will no doubt rush out to the theater (at least the out in the open bronies….and if Bronycon or any of those other big cons are any indication there'll be a fuckload of bronies can't forget about the target audience and their parents too! )

….I have a feeling this movie really can't fail THAT badly at the Box Office, props to Hasbro for being these sneaky little devils.

@ Crimson Locks

Hell yeah! That is awesome! Thank you so much! You did a really great job! I was having a bad day today, but this makes me feel a lot better. Thank you again.

I shall name him "Disturbed Hooves"

I'll come up with something later.

Decide to visit Pony General for the first time in weeks and people are discussing user shipping, James Joyce's hauntingly saucy letters, how to into drawing oc pone, and the running time that the compression of a Blu Ray can allow.

Never change, you guys. I love you all. All the homo. Hetero, too, I guess…

Crimson Locks wrote:

Are you kidding? It's gonna be awesome. I can't wait. I swear, I have more fun with the fandom shitstorms then I do with the actual show.

Heads up, guys.

Equestria Daily (and 4chan, imgur, and likely other sites) have links to spoiling images from Equestria Girls. I took a look at a few images to see if they were legit, and it looks like someone gave the plot in a 4chan thread. Furthermore, they have some poor quality images (at least. I didn't look at more than a screenshots.)

That photoshopped disc may not have been photoshopped after all.

So if you don't care about the movie,

then (SPOILERS) have at it.

I don't know how you'd suggest going about discussing the synopsis and images here. I would prefer to watch the movie first, but the official release for us to see it on DVD/other totally and legittestly legal means won't be for a while. But whatever you agree to, just try your best to hold to it (i.e., If you don't want to spoil anything, you may need to take a break from Pony General. If you want to talk about it but we're spoilering any talk and discussion of it, then be sure to follow suit.)

@Verbose: Thanks for bringing that up

I don't know if you already know this, but some screenshots have been making their way into the kym image gallery as well. So I guess this is a warning to anyone who doesn't want to be spoiled.
