I remember people wanted to see what Sony would say before being bashing Microsoft too hard for the used game policies and online check-in.

Turns out people were right to hate on Microsoft. Sony wins:

The PS4 is NOT region locked
The PS4 is $100 cheaper than Xbox One
and
Microsoft is delaying the launch of Xbox One in ASIA and Japan

Playstation 4:

Cheaper ✓

Can played used games with no check in ✓

Free online services ✓

Great titles ✓

Final Score:
Xbox 1 : PlayStation 4

Anyone else feel like the Nintendo E3 presentation was a little disappointing?
Don't get me wrong, everything they showed was great. New 3D Mario looked cool, Mario Kart 8 looked fun and Wind Waker was bright and beautiful.
It just lacked a few killer announcements that gets everyone super excited, Mega Man was awesome but that was about it in my mind.

The Sony conference was the best in years, those jabs at Microsoft, the huge indie presence, they way they seemed to counter every question people seemed to have, the massive amount of third party showings with exclusive stuff being tied to every showing (that Diablo 3 announcement was silly though) and the standing ovation and thunderous applause for the straight out 'No DRM, no hurting used games' statement made it the best of this year by far. Oh, can who can not like a reference to Giant Enemy Crab? Last year it was Ridge Racer, and I was half convinced they were going to say 'US Dollars' after the price announcement.

Anyway, here's my filled in Bingo Cards -

Man, no bingos this year. I still feel satisfied for the most part though.

Well, holy shit, looks like lots of the rumours are true after all.

Fairy type, confirmed.

Wind Waker HD, confirmed.

Versus XIII to be FFXV confirmed.

Kingdom Hearts 3 actually going to happen this century: Confirmed.

Ducktales remake: Confirmed

But the big surprise was Mario Kart ripping off the Crash racing games.

Titanfall looks absolutely kickass, but it's an Xbox One / 360 exclusive. That makes me super pissed because I pretty much have my mind set on the PS4.

Hey…if the Xbox One flops that hard, then it might trickle over to the PS4

Holy shit did I pick an interesting year to watch all of the conferences.

@zephyr
ha, I noticed that too.

Well now. Nintendo and Sony's hype trains didn't crash and burn this time.

The only question I am left with is "If Bayonetta got a haircut… and her outfit was the hair on top of her head last game… WHERE IS THIS HAIR COMEING FROM!?!" (Likley the Armpits)

(or pubic hair)

Smash Bros looks solid, though wasn't as Jaw Dropping as I was anticipating. X looks REALLY AWESOME. Mario Kart 8 looks really fun. The new Super Mario 3D World has an odd obsession with Catsuits and Hampster Tubes, but looks rather solid. And Pokemon X and Y may finally be the time I return to the series.

The thing is, they didn't really need to perform because all of their devices are already out. They did it right because they feel that E3 should be about games, and that's what they delivered.

And now, let's get a closer look at our new challengers:

^yeah I dunno whose idea that was but it's pretty fucking strange.

Actually there is a bingo:

Miyamoto wearing cat paws:

"Link To The Past" sequel (or spiritual successor):

She'll be the most balanced player in Smash Bros.

Humor is not original.

And you talk crap now, but when I beat everyone with Yoga Pants, you'll be sorry (and possibly aroused.)

I remember, long time ago, when I said it would be impossible to include Megaman, but they actually delivered!!

Also, does anyone around here know a fanmade game called Super Smash Flash 2? I can't be the only one to notice the similarity between both movesets.

That Microsoft show was like watching your paraplegic daughter try and perform a balet. Her condition just kept getting worse and worse over the years and it's so hard watching a wheelchair bound girl try and do balet in front of you. Meanwhile, your other daughter just won the lottery and will be sharing it with you.

I finally got around to watching the Sony conference after missing it the first time…

Dear god, that kicked ass. Especially the shots MS.

Also, don't forget this little gem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxkEe_l7S3g

Bitch please, let the real Carlos handle these jokes.

…Damn it. I can't find my book of fitness jokes. That loss weighs heavy on me.

I think that's a joke, so shut the fuck up.

When they asked Reggie about Nintendo's stance on Used Games, Reggie essentially said "The best strategy to combat used games is to make the games so good people will never want to trade them in."

Link

This is by far the most genius marketing strategy I have ever heard.

I think that counts as the sly backhand to EA (and Microsoft, but still), SO, BINGO!!!

(About the Retro Question Mark: It seems VERY unlikely that they spent the entirety of those 5 years working on a Sequel. A sequel that doesn't really change too much. I feel they are working on two games at once.)
