Shabani is an attractive gorilla.

He gets a lot of people to come by his space at the Higashiyama Zoo.
 
…particularly, with a noted increase in young human women.
 
According to people at the zoo, they say that Shabani isn't necessarily handsome, but that all gorillas have "striking features," and that people may just now be taking time to notice them.
