Because it's gross, only old people liked it, and it was a pain to make.

Gone because shredded chicken as a whole went out. The chain was looking to simplify its menu, as many items were essentially rehashes of other items. Plus, I would like to think it was to reduce the "I'll have a, uhm… uuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh" time on drive-thru orders
