I propose a project:
A fandom collaboration in which we take the entire text of The Lord of the Rings and then rewrite it as a Pony fanfic. We designate different Pony characters as members of the LOTR roster, and then rewrite the whole thing as if it takes place in Equestria. It will be the greatest triumph in the history of fanfiction, and will ring through the halls of the internet long after the Ponies have faded away. Will you join me, and make internet history? Yae, or Neigh?!

Is nothing sacred?

This started out as a discussion in the comments on the MLP: FIM main page. One suggestion so far is to put the whole thing on a Google Doc so that people can edit it live. It is also probable that we will have to get Equestria Daily involved so we can have the whole weight of the fandom behind this. Anyone else have ideas on how we could put this together?

There is enough pony on the internet. Please, just stop making everything pony. Many, many people are tired of bronies making everything into pony form. It's just giving you guys a bad reputation. If you redo the entire LOTR series, you will only garner more hate for your fanbase.

DPF, do you know how many LOTR fans will rage over this happening to the LOTR books? There are so many fans of it on the internet, it's bound to be raged over.

I do not stand for the ponyfication of everything, and will try to stop it. This is just another bit of existence turned pony, and if we don't stop it, everything will be pony at this pace.

Exactly. It's not like they're ponifying the bloody holy bible. It's just a few people who like the show, making a pony version of a well known and loved book series. Haters, get over yourselves. There's been far worse things writen that involve LOTR than this will be.

But you're supposed to be for the ponies. And ponies don't troll, they're supposed to love and tolerate the shit out of everyone, but by trolling people they aren't doing that, which means it is not the true pony way, which means that you aren't a brony, and thus you are not a part of the herd.
