Annie Get Your Gun Challenge:

This is me collecting several Raman spectra of a tissue sample. In other words, I'm shooting a laser (the red blinking thing) at toilet paper. It's dark because the mercury in the fluorescent lights interferes with the reading.

Any questions?

Did you use a diode out of a dvd reader computer part to focus the light?

They got some good ones if I'm correct.

Nooooo, that's a specialized Raman laser. The source is not the type that's commercially available – for one thing, it's way more powerful. The kind that will instantly blind you.

So, tell me-

Did you find anything of interest in regards to the toilet paper? I'm just curious, as I often ponder things such as the crystallographic orientation of my hygiene products.

(a) Paper isn't a crystal.
(b) My research has to do with trying to find the spectral manifestation of tissue roughness, which has to do with fibre orientation and with contamination from lignins.

Oh, no… He's going to figure out that I don't know anything about most forms of science… I need a distraction…

Knark Knark challenge:

Ah, Ratboy Genius… What a fantastic example of artistic creativity… The animation's a little iffy, true, but look past what the art is, and look through to what the art means.

Just look at his outfit- reminiscent of Bart Simpson, thus giving the viewer a small sense of either nostalgia or some form of primal comfort, and his hat, a literal hat? Or a symbol for not letting the outside world into your mind?

Watching through Ratboy's Kingdom, I'm in awe of the music. Really… It's perfect in every sense of the word. His text to voice singing complements the bouncing piano, and the drums are always tight… As a musician, I really do have immense respect for the composer.

I'm unsure about what Ratboy symbolizes himself, though it's plain to see that the Big Green Monster represents his inner fears, and that Summer Solstice Baby is his love, incarnate… Yes, even counting these semi-clichéd archetypes, the series has a plot that even the youngest of children could follow, and a storyline that would touch even the oldest heart. I don't want to spoiler anyone, here, but in chapter 12 he made Summer Solstice Baby 3D… I… I teared up, guys… Not since Hanako's story in Katawa Shoujo have I been so poignantly touched…

Some people become confused watching Ratboy's Kingdom… I'm not sure how that's possible… It has a solid, consistent story filled to the brim with plot twists and character development.

The thing that truly takes my breath away is the background contrast… Seeing Ratboy wander the streets is amazing. I dare you to find anything that comes even remotely close to having backgrounds as perfect as RG's.

I could spend all night describing Ratboy Genius, but the best thing you can do is just watch it for yourself. In closing, I just want to say… Beauty, you have a name, and that name is

Ratboy Genius.

I just know how to make really powerful pointer lasers out of those little dingy things used to troll teachers, but still man I am impressed with your video, wish I could understand it better.

Well, it's been over 24 hours since the last completed challenge.

I'm closing the contest down.

Everyone has 24 hours to do any more challenges they wish, then it's lights out.

Thanks.

Wait, what? What happened to the Meme SAT Challenge? I was really looking forward to that!

Oh yeah. Whoops.

We never did that because we couldn't find a survey host for the questions we had so we kinda scrapped it. I'm sorry.

can we have the titles forever, but be able to turn them off?

We're now gonna give everyone crappy titles that you'll never be able to turn off.

Pony Persecution Challenge

"It has become increasingly apparent that the persecution of a small yet zealous group is becoming a problem within our society. This group, known only as Bronies, has persisted through out the last few months as a following of a show dedicated to horses and their companionship which is viewed as sorcery. This wonderful and tame group is under the threat of extinction by the aggression of their peers, primarily on the internet. We cannot simply stand by and watch as they fade from existence. We must protect their rights and respect their sexuality. Please, lend your support to this cause and make it known that this is a very real issue within our society."

We now interrupt this thread with some very unimportant news.

I also wanted to post names who didn't do any challenges but figured that will be too mean. And I might have counted the same challenge twice by mistake, but who cares.

EDIT: And stop bothering me in the IRC about it. I don't know what I missed.

Yes. Yes I am.

^_^

Dis-I-Like Challenge: Get more thumbs down on a single Youtube comment then the opposing team can.

So yeah…I made a comment under this video , and apparently it got downvoted several times , as you can see here ( "Dieser Kommentar hat zu viele negative Bewertungen erhalten." is german and means something like "This comment has received too many negative reviews.")

The problem is that you can't see how many times the comment actually got downvoted, so I'm not sure how we will decide which team is going to win this challenge (if the other team posts for this challenge)…

All right everyone. Time's up.

Final Score:

Circle: 81
Triangle: 51

The MVP of the contest is Suiseiseki. Please stay tuned for updates on prizes, as they require help from the KYM crew which are off on weekends I'm pretty sure.

Thank you very much to everyone who has participated in this or any previous CBCs as I am personally never going to host one again. You guys are what make these things possible.

And a very special thanks to Random Man and Amandab for being huge helps throughout this whole contest.

Have a great day.

Wait….it's over?

It's…..over?

BUT I WAS STILL WORKING ON SOME THINGS! :(

Oh well, at least RandomMan doesn't have those incriminating photographs (for blackmail purposes) of me doing the This Gets My DICK Hard Challenge.

Wait, over?! But what about this? Or this picture?

Or my nasty dinner last night of five hot dogs and a bag of Cheetos that I filmed? (oog.)

Oh, well, at least I didn't have to do push-ups.

Good work everyone!

Oh, and other last-minute business:

Did we get the point for our auto-play? Did the other team manage one? What was the solution and result of the "On Commission Challenge"? Most importantly, can Philip and I change our avatars now? (I'm going to assume the answer to the last one is "yes".)

We have to double check this of course, but this will be the people that actually get a prize. I'm not really in a mood to give people who didn't do anything a prize. Helping in the forums also counts, but there are limits.

@Brucker & Philip

Yeah, contest's over. So you can change your avatar back.

How coincidental (Or possibly a joke stemming from your memory), as your avatar, at the time I asked you the question, was Suiseiseki yelling "Lies!", in parody of a different anime.
