Having a serious debate on an issue in a place where those topics actually belong is one thing, going to joke/non serious threads and dropping those topics, or derailing other threads who's topics have nothing to do with what you may be bringing up is clearly bait.

The only forum I regularly post in is the discussion forum. I don't assume those topics are jokes because they're in the discussion forum. The questions I ask are completely related, I usually ask them to offer a different viewpoint, and am genuinely interested in what the opinions/responses to that point of view are. If I wanted to bait people I'd go to tumblr, I came to a discussion forum because I want to discuss these things.

Funny how all of your "differing viewpoints" just happen to be those that a majority, if not everyone present in the thread disagree with. And to boot the themes of said differing viewpoints are almost always the polar opposite to whatever the popular opinion happens to be at the time, and that's assuming it's even related to the topic.

At the risk of being murdered, I do want to stick up for Lisa a teensy bit. I don't think she is being contrarian and intentionally picking unpopular opinions. She consistently takes the conservative POV, which clashes heavily with the majority of posters because there's a hell of a lot of liberals on these forums. If I had to guess, it's probably because the posters skew young.

It's not as if I don't get the scenario. several months ago I was somewhat in the same position with my stance on lolicon and a number of other things, hell some still dislike and avoid me, thinking me to be a pedophile or what not. However I didn't seemingly and purposely seek out threads to preach my stance on the/a topic just because what was being talked about didn't relate to, or include my views on the subject.

It's a matter of picking and choosing your battles.

This site is full of people with far-left liberal opinions. I have moderately conservative opinions. So if a lot of liberals are in a thread jerking each other off about how great it is that they're all in agreement, obviously me entering the discussion brings a view the majority in the thread will disagree with. That doesn't mean I should not share my opinion just because it's not the same as the majority opinion.

I post from my phone, they're all on my clipboard. They're tinypic links. I use them on a lot of different sites that don't support emojis. Mostly for sarcasm purposes, it helps with the whole Poe's law thing, but they can also be delightfully passive-aggressive.

I was told to not respond to you and to take it directly to the admins, so that's what I did. I also contacted multiple admins, Don is the one who responded. I don't expect a guardian angel, I expect the mods who were chosen to fairly enforce the rules to do so. When you don't, I go to the admins. That's how the hierarchy works.

But my dealing with mods is much different. My fights with them are usually over NSFW content. And every ban (or what they like to call suspension) that I received warranted or not I took it without being a bitch about it. I never cried about mod abuse seriously and I still joke with all the mods I that have banned me. RandomMan is a prick but he's still my fuzzy wittle bunny. I was banned 2 times from here for something I did in the IRC and both mods I can honestly say are good guys. Also everyone knows me and if I where you, I wouldn't use something I say as look he feels the same way.
