Fun fact: the members of Terrorizer's original incarnation went on to form Morbid Angel, Napalm Death, and Nausea.

well, they joined the bands, yes, but i'm pretty sure they weren't involved in forming the bands (at least not morbid angel and napalm death, dunno about nausea) but joined later on.

dat hm-2

@Entrail – Bloodhammer
That sounds pretty good, but the vocals could maybe use a bit more range in them. They're not bad, far from it, but a tad bit monotonous.

One of my favourite tracks from the past few weeks is After The Burials Engulfed
I just love that riff starting at 50 seconds, it has some sort of video game like feel to it. The two breakdowns are a bit meh, but the solo more than makes up for those.

A pretty cool band I discovered yesterday:

Not enough quality Trance in this thread.

How does it feel to know that the king of trance sold out to over-compressed big room? :')

yeah, most schwedish death metal is flawed in that way, i also find it hard to listen to the whole album without finding it boring, but i think they did a good job with transporting the schwedish sound to the 21st century.

nice cover of a young classic:

Listening this album right now, after finding this band yesterday. Liking it a lot, so far:

Some more symphonic deathcore stuff:
Ovid's Withering – 'Oedipus Complex'
Make Them Suffer – 'Neverbloom'

And something else:
Year Of No Light – 'Perséphone'

The Mars Volta are amazing. Haven't hear too much of them, only Deloused In The Comatorium and Frances The Mute, which I both like quite a bit.

Whenever a film ends, I usually listen to the music that accompanies the credits. Sometimes, I even wait for the list of music used.

Recently, I rewatched 28 Days Later and I've been listening to this song over and over and over again.

yeah, lorelei are pretty cool, the snyths are a bit too intrusive imo, but it's not a real issue (yeah, i know i have issues with synths, i'm too sensitive about those things).
i like make them suffer a lot, though i was never sure if that was because they were good or because i'm an australian deathcore fanboy :P saw them live about a year ago on a trip to australia, the sound was really bassy and you couldn't hear the guitars at all :/ but boris the blade were really cool and sounded well, despite playing in drop G#

did i mention that i'm a huge roman koester fanboy fan? i want to know what he's up to, since he quit boris and thy art is murder don't need him to help out as lead guitarist anymore…

another btb song from their 2014 album , without koester, sounds like they had the same producer like signal te firing squad with their abnegate album lol

I disagree, in practice.

Although you can discuss specific music topics, where else are you going to share music tastes and just converse about music in general?

On sites like 4chan, there are General threads for the entire board. I think this can serve as that here.

i really, really didn't think this was gonna be an issue. if this forum is gonna work we're going to have to make more threads. this thread has served it purpose, but the entire board is for sharing music taste and talking about music in general.

/me throws hands up in the air in lament

Fracus & Darwin's Filth and Dumb Hatred is going to be re-released, and put online. Hardcore Underground posted about it on Facebook. Link

I know you can't tell through the text, but I'm super hyped right now

Updated thread topic. This thread is now for misc things that anyone might wanna talk about but don't feel like making a thread for it. Although you are welcome to start a new new thread for any topic here

Yeah, a "small things not worth their own thread" thread makes sense.

Deafheaven just released a new song about two days ago. Personally, I'm really liking it. It has a bit of a more old-school black metal feel, but it still has the shoegaze and post-rock elements Sunbather had.
