The new forum categories were added a few days to a week ago, I think
I'm not sure what happened to featured topics though
We made a thread announcing the forum change that includes a rundown of all the new boards and their purpose. If you have more specific questions and concerns about the new boards you should ask there.
And if you're curious, here's the thread where the idea for new boards spawned you can get the gist of the thought process behind the changes there
