But honestly, if you want to get more social with the site. Just post in the forums more often, get to know the users. Don't only try to get social with the moderators, it makes you look like a kissass.

Amazing how about 90% of the mods are frequently still on the site. Also for social interactions you could try the IRC. Getting into conversations isn't that easy but you'll learn.

Yeah, if you definitely want to get to know people, the biggest thing would be to post in the forums.

If you want to talk more directly to one of the moderators, we often are in the IRC in the room #knowyourmeme.
