I think entries that have been deadpooled should be automatic removed so this can make way for entries that actually worth researching or discussing

The thing with deadpooled entries is that they are there in case we as moderators make a mistake.
It is quite possible for us to be mistaken about whether or not something is a meme or has enough memetic qualities to be considered for confirmation, so the deadpool can be thought of both of as a safety net for ourselves and a way to keep the less interesting entries out of the way of the general public.
Edit: I see that you're talking about the trending bar, I thought you were talking generally.
Well, I still see it as a sort of safety net. If something is popular, we should definitely see that it is, even if in the past we've thought that it isn't a 'meme.'
It are the comments that make an entry trending.
So if you don't want crap trending, simply don't comment on it.
People only have themselves to blame.
It seems very fair is you ask me, as we don't actually need to look at these stupid pages that have no good contribution to the site besides amusing users who like to point and laugh at those newbies who have no idea what they are doing.
Some, however, kind of need to be noticed once in a while, but the way the trending bar works is like a forum page: entries can get 'bumped' back to the front whenever someone comments.
Shouldn't there be a certain number of comments before something becomes "trending." All too often there isn't a lot of activity i guess and one person comments on some random meme and it becomes "trending." For example right now POMF =3 is trending because one person posted a picture in the comments and the previous comments were made months before it.
The trending bar's supposed to show where the Traffic is. If you're looking for a spotlight of our newest/best content, use the photo-bar above it.

Well it has very low standards for traffic during low traffic times. I've tested this before by commenting on some random page and watching it move into the trending bar within 10 mins. 1 comment by one person = trending?
