Counted 9 wmaf images from the same user in trending yet again, have you checked into this mods?

I asked him about it last week after I saw you arguing against him… and he told me it was likely some users brigading. It's only speculation right now but it wouldn't be the first time I've seen some users or Galleries being stalked. Hell, I've seen Vinluv commenting something on my Wall and his comments got downvoted. Everything he posts has at least 1 downvote regardless of what it is.
The same can be done for upvotes, but generally the WMAF / AMWF Entry does well on its own. Another user has uploaded an image and it's now on the top of the Trending page and he's not one of the usual guys who upload in it.

As of now, I'm inclined to believe there might be some brigading, but in the end it's meaningless because upvotes and downvotes are essentially useless on Know Your Meme. You don't get any special status or prize for it like on Reddit, and as a website it's not very active or frequented. I made sure to tell all the usual users who upload in Galleries like those to not be biased and always hand out the sources of their memes. So far, it's all good 🤷‍♂️

We have a problem with it because you fill the trending images gallery with it, and given you closed the comment section it seems you’re trying to shut down discussion

I haven't filled it with anything. As a matter of fact I don't recall ever uploading a single image in that Gallery.

I locked the comments now, because this has to be at least the 8th time a new user with no activity prior, enters the Entry's comment section, bumps it with a rant and causes it to stay on the Trending Bar for hours, if not days.
I've taken similar decisions for a few other Entries that caused users to randomly start pointless debates in it that never went anywhere. For the Entry, there's around 200 comments, which is more than enough discussion about the topic itself.

I'm not expecting the userbase to question this decision because every time it happened before, there were negative reactions from the majority of the userbase about the Entry going on Trending once again because a single user had decided to talk trash in it.

As of now, I Warned the user "69 Nuts" as he was clearly baiting, instigating and throwing racist remarks to the website itself.

We (I and other mods), are considering a punishment for this type of pointless "Entry-bumping" that serves no purpose unless it's about news or updates about the meme/website/person

Shitting up one slot on the trending bar with comment war: locked comments.
Shitting up the trending images and new images galleries with brigaded posts: endorsed.

Baiting with racist/instigating comments on one day: warning.
Baiting with racist/instigating images for weeks: no action.

But it's fine because the guys posting those images don't believe any of that stuff. They aren't trying to provoke or instigate. That's why they've been so consistently uploading the same 4 uncreative memes made by provocative people (again, not made by them, by anons online). There is no brigading, except there might be, but it's fine because they aren't actually doing it for racist reasons. They're laughing AT them you guys, hence the upvotes, they're mocking upvotes.

I have said everything it needed to be said the last time this "situation" was addressed.

We have tons of Galleries and memes that are racist, bait, specifically about political and social events, commentaries and such. You can't expect me to start locking Galleries that follow this pattern otherwise we overall would have pretty much nothing to upload other than anime, some movies and reaction images.

What the userbase upvotes, follows and likes are nothing we mods can do about it, and I'm not the type of person that judges. However, the moment users start openly acting in a racist manner or try to bait, instigate and troll outside of memes, then we have to take action.

We have banned people for less, so I'm not exactly following your position in defending a random troll that popped out of nowhere and who's Activity consists 60% of recent Entry-bumping

A few days ago we discovered about some brand new users with lots of alts, and they've been banned. Judging by their recent Activity page, they were likely those who mass downvoted in these Forum threads.

There isn't much we can do about brigading, because at the end of the day it doesn't mean much on this website, and it can be done by anyone. KYM however has a system that doesn't allow more than a certain number of memes (the limit is at 15 or around that) from the same user or Gallery to be Trending at the same time. There isn't much more than this that can be done about it.

"Half the trending page" is about most of the 4th section below and one gif that has over 50 upvotes on the 3rd section.

I noticed myself that something was up and it happened a few times with other Galleries this week and last week. We'll see to it if users start spamming their content, which happened already a few times with fan art and "fetish" entries

I think one of my recent images has been downvoted bomb by bots. according to my notifications the image has 10 upvotes and 2 downvotes at 9:37 PM EST and in the span of less than two hours it received 18 more down votes.

Once again a pol meme has brought in the nazi bots
any comments negative towards antisemitism get downboated
