Hate to break it to you but you live in a world where things are rightly censored.
There already is a line of acceptable behavior on this website.
It is not a free-for-all.
I'm making the point that the line has shifted and now nazis are considered right up there with a burning cross avatar.
This is due to the nazi meme crowd preposterously overplaying their position.
Last week they were good to go. Not so this week.

>rightly censored

You know who else thought it was good to rightly censor things?

Nazis when they censored Jews.

Then they thought it was good to "rightly" kick them out of their houses and destroy their businesses.

Then they thought it was good to "rightly" force them into forced-labor camps.

You get the point? Censorship was one of the main things Nazism and Fascism was about. The censorship of dissenting opinion.

Thanks for being cooperative

In fact, I wouldn't mind if the Mods closed the thread with the provision that it is forwarded to the higher up's in management.
With other political topics I'd fight on with gusto.
Not so with the nazi topic.
Here's why.

Those guys will find you on other sites and bombard you with threats.
This is a thing that I know.
It is legit terrifying.

That's why the kids love it!
It's wonderful power!
A 10 year old can legitimately terrify a grown ass man on the internet.
The real neo-nazis are terrorists, and pretending to be one is terrorising by proxy.
You are using their power.
It's just bad, guys.

This literally happens just as often with Antifa. Threats are by no means concentrated in one hate group, rather, you find them in several, including Antifa.

I'm not interested in a "what about" contest with you.
If antifa imagery is a problem then say something.
Obviously, I feel nazi imagery is a probelm

EVERYBODY KNOWS what Nazi Lamprey meant when he just used (((parenthesis))). Your Grandmom knows what that means.
Had he actually used the slur that it represents, he'd be mod'ed, right?
My message to Memebase is that pretending you don't know what that is won't save you soon.

Honestly I thought threats were required for something to be considered a hate group.

Also my message is to you guys to wrap your head around the inevitable change of policy that will be showing up in a bunch of places like this.
You'll still have your spaces, but this is a cotton candy website.
You can't be calling other people (((those))) kinds of names here.
You can't even post boobies here!
Censoring boobies but yet allowing someone to call someone an (((epithet))) or post neo-nazi propaganda is absurd.

Everyone has a decoder ring now.
Get used to the idea folks.

I'm gonna request everyone be respectful and on topic now, or I will lock this thread.

Alright, now that I said that, I'm gonna tell y'all what's what.

KYM's staff hardly cares. At least for the time being, nazis, white nationalists, and white supremacists are allowed on this site. This is not an assumption – this is what I've directly been told by KYM staff.

This thread has been brought up to KYM staff, and the response was a flat "no". KYM is at extremely little risk for getting infamous in the way described earlier. Even if someone from Vice or HuffPo was reading all this, chances are they have bigger stories to report. Staff sees little to no risk in the status quo, in this regard, and if it changes they will respond in turn.

The organizations and such that have been taken down in the recent backlash against the morally depraved trifecta (nazism, white nationalism, white supremacism) are explicitly focused on that and linked to the Charlottesville riots. KYM, so far, does not fit the profile for these. It is still well in the safe zone, as far as I can tell.

To warn of an impending surge against KYM or its users seems pretty alarmist. Way worse has happened in the past that's linked to KYM and it didn't trace back here. If something like this happened again, MAYBE KYM would come up given the current political climate. KYM is just such a small, slow, and innocuous site to people who aren't aware of its community, that it'd take a weird series of coincidences for it to get that kind of negative publicity.

Don't take this as an approval of the status quo from me. I wish we'd do more in restricting speech on KYM, but this is the mandate we have from KYM's administration: we're doing what we've been doing. It's very unlikely it's going to change.

KYM =/= Cheezburger

Just making that clear.

What gets posted on Cheezburger in neither our concern nor within our power to alter.

C'est la vie.

Thank you for your forthright response.
I would like to assure you that I am just a guy.
Not a surge. I represent one single guy.
Just wanna make sure that's clear.
I have as little on-line "cred" as you could possible have.

I do maintain that the policy nazis, white nationalists, and white supremacists onto this PG-13 website for children is… interesting.
This post represents my final post.
Your allowing of my clear push-back against this very forum is impressive. Most places would have nuked me from orbit

I am out.

Nuking an opinion from orbit would only do us harm, it solves nothing. It depends how one is willing to discuss their opinion that decides if we act against them (if your method of discussion is name calling, you gotta go).

OP is out, thread is lock.
