YouTube blocking video downloads?

So, I've been using a program, aptly called YouTubeDownloader to rip various videos from YT for years.
Recently, it's been returning an error:
The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.

I searched it up and got what I expected.
It's an access violation error, meaning someone at Google is changing the layout and thus, blocking the downloader's access. It's admittedly against the EULA, (but nobody cares)
so I'm looking for new ways to download videos.

Suggestions?

On one hand, Youtube holds the rights to protect the intellectual property of their userbase. But on the other hand, I have gone without Internet for several months in a row prior to KYM and having videos downloaded to my computer was always nice.

Either way, there ALWAYS will be a workaround.

i honestly don't think you tube did this for the community, more or less intellectual property.
i can imagine a CEO bribing Google, and youtube to make sure you cant download there music videos (which are hella expensive to make, and a understanable move).
I mean, i used youtube downloader to download all of dj manians, e.s posthumus, italobrothers and coyote kisses songs.
