Ampun Bang Jago (English: Beg You Mercy, Champ) is an EDM song by Indonesian musician Jonathan Dorongpangalo and Everly Salikara also known as Tian Storm and Everslkr. It has been popular in Indonesian users and TikTok which used in every videos and memes. It also spreading after woman from Myanmar using this song when she's doing workout while militaries passing behind her.

Origin

On September 12th, 2020, official YouTube channel Tian Storm[1] uploaded the music video version titled "AMPUN BANG JAGO – Tian Storm x Ever Slkr (Official Music Video) DISKO TANAH". The video received more than 30 million views in less than a year (shown below).



Spread

The song has popular enough and has been used in TikTok. The earliest version is on September 28th, 2020, TikTok[2] user @juyyputrii21 uploaded her video with "Ampun Bang Jago" song as the background. The video received more than 1.5 million views and 25,300 shares (shown below, left). On October 7th, 2020, Official TikTok[5] account West Ham United uploaded a video. The video received more than 140,300 likes and 15,000 shares (shown below, right).

On February 14th, 2021, at least the song was used in more than 3.7 million videos[3] (shown below, left) and the hashtag has been viewed in more than 202.2 million views[4] (shown below, right).

On October 12th, 2020, YouTube[6] user The Shiny Peanut uploaded video that explaining and documenting moments when the song has been used at Omnibus Law protest in Jakarta, Indonesia. The video received more than 340,000 views (shown below).



On February 2nd, 2021, Facebook user Khing Hnin Wai uploaded her workout video with Ampun Bang Jago song played in the background while the militaries passing behind her. The video received more than 11,000 reactions
