Art Lore is a phrase that refers to drama in art and animation communities, largely on TikTok, regarding problematic artists and their creations. On TikTok, art lore is associated with a trend on where artists criticize other artists' drawings that they deem problematic (racist, bigoted, etc.) by posting videos tracing over the original art, "fixing" it or recreating the video showcasing the art in a mocking way. The trend became popularized on TikTok in late November throughout December 2022.

"Art Lore" was defined on Urban Dictionary[1] on November 29th, 2022 by TikTokLoreDrop, writing, "A trend on TikTok where somebody posts something bigoted/overly sensitive with a drawing, and most often people copy it to mock the original video."
