The Ayanokoji PFP Takeover, also known as Ayankoji Cult, is a TikTok trend in which users change their profile pictures to an image of the character Kiyotaka Ayanokoji from the anime series You-Zitsu, also known as Classroom of the Elite. The takeover began on April 1st, 2026, and was spread through videos posted by TikTokers participating in the trend. The trend is comparable to the macro trend of TikTok cults and was started by TikToker @kiyotakaenthusiast in celebration of the series' return.

Origin

The fourth season of the anime series Classroom of the Elite (You-Zitsu) premiered on April 1st, 2026.

Prior to this, on March 25th, 2026, TikToker^[1] @kiyotakaenthusiast posted a video encouraging fans of the series to change their profile pictures to images of Kiyotaka Ayanokoji on April 1st in celebration of the series' return, gaining over 38,000 views in a week.

On March 26th, the same TikToker^[2] posted another video encouraging people to change their PFPs to images of Ayanokoji on April 1st, gaining over 130,000 views in a week.

The TikToker^[3] continued to post videos like this, including one on March 28th, 2026, that gained over 760,000 views in six days.

As word of the Ayanokoji PFP takeover spread, other TikTokers began posting videos both encouraging and discouraging people from participating in it.

On March 31st, 2026, TikToker^[4] @xefi_here posted a meme that calls people who aren't supporting the takeover "NPCs," garnering over 1.4 million views in three days.

That day, TikToker^[5] @quarter856 posted a similar meme that calls people who don't participate in the trend "clowns," garnering over one million views in the same span of time.

That night on March 31st, 2026, TikToker^[6] @populargames67 posted a video that criticizes "foids" for not following the trend and celebrates doing the trend with the boys, garnering over 318,000 views in two days.
