The "Bells, Jon." meme sprouted from a clip from Panic! at the Disco's Live at Denver DVD when they were talking about arguments between the band. It cuts to a clip where both the band's guitarist, Ryan, and singer, Brendon, were trying to attract the attention of fellow band member, Jon, to play the bells while at rehearsal.

It has since then become a joke with fans, especially on Tumblr.
