Videos typically feature onscreen captions referring to the Golden Gate Bridge and the bridge of the Taylor Swift song "Out of the Woods" as the "best bridge on the best bridge," playing on the double meaning of "bridge," pairing a prominent section of a pop song with the landmark itself.^[1]

Though the exact origin of the joke is unknown, it has been used in reference to other pop music acts in different Stan communities across various social media platforms before the specific Taylor Swift trend arose in summer 2026. One early example, posted on March 15th, 2022 by TikTok^[2] user @anaszabo13 shows an early iteration of the joke in use. The video received 1.2 million views and 197,900 likes in just over four years.
