The meme originated when a young man from Birmingham, Alabama posted a Craigslist Ad looking for a place to stay in San Francisco as he takes on a job at an advertisement firm. His flamboyant ad caught thousands of responses and much attention on the internet. So much so that he created a twitter feed to post updates and statuses as well as witty "Best Roommate Ever" phrases. A meme was created to follow up on those such phrases. Several can be seen on the Facebook page and at Memebase.
