Bros Glad is a catchphrase created as a less offensive alternative to Hoes Mad and often used in conjunction with the latter. The catchphrase can be used by males to convey feelings of unity and camaraderie in a certain situation, often at the expense of females feeling dissatisfied with or offended by that same situation.

Origin

On February 15th, Twitter^[1] user @UndercoverGray tweeted a fanart image of virtual webcam model ProjektMelody paired with the captioned "Bros Glad." The post was presented as a less offensive alternative to Hoes Mad reaction images which saw a recent increase in circulation online in connection with several Chaturbate models expressing concerns about ProjektMelody's presence on the platform. The tweet received over 360 retweets and 2,800 likes and also was retweeted^[2] by @ProjektMelody.

Spread

Following the tweet, other users on Twitter posted memes based on the catchphrase, including notable examples by @DesuKirisu^[3] (shown below, left) and @PFan010^[4] (shown below, right). For example, @PFan010's tweet received over 240 retweets and 2,200 likes in two days.

Additionally, the original Bros Glad macro gained popularity as a reaction on Twitter, with the catchphrase "bros glad" also being used as a reaction^[5] and a title for posts on Reddit^[6][7] and Twitter.
