About
Burnice "Burning Desires" Parodies refer to memes and jokes about a song released by the creators of the free-to-play role-playing game Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), created by miHoYo, the company behind Genshin Impact. The song was released in October 2024 and features the character "Burnice," a dual flame-thrower-wielding fighter in the video game. The song, titled "Burning Desires," gained viral traction after ZZZ fans shared fan edits and fan art of Burnice. However, the song also gathered ridicule on social media soon after it was released, with people comparing it to KSI's "Thick of It."

The lyrics of the song are as follows:
Good evening and welcome! I'm Burnice and I'll be serving you today
What can I get for you? A drink, some snacks – or a little flames?
Mocktails, mixers, ice The snacks are real nice Soda, sour-mix, dry
I’m lit you can't deny Whatever you want Whatever you need So good you'll never Ever want to leave
Anything that you desire Set it on fire! I'll make you spend your Dennies all away
That's my desire You know I’m the real deal. What's left to say?
3-2-1, fire!
Burnice x6
Go go!
Burn it, Burnice, x3
Or a little flames?

The song was not well received by internet users on some parts of X, many of whom suspected that the lyrics to the song were written using ChatGPT. The sudden sonic shift at the 1:14 timestamp also drew ridicule, with people editing in footage from other video games or pop culture moments popular at the time.
The song was released close to KSI's "Thick of It," leading people to draw comparisons between the two songs, neither of which they appeared to enjoy.
For instance, on October 18th, X[4] user @4gntt posted a video dubbing Burnice's "Burning Desires" into KSI's "Thick of It" using an AI-generated version of his voice. The video gathered over 15,000 likes in three days.

On October 20th, 2024, X[5] user @portouver reposted the video with a caption that referenced the Are You Ready For Your Lesson phrasal template meme, gathering over 12,000 likes in a day.
“Are you guys ready for your music lessons?”
Logan Paul gulped.
Dream nodded.
KSI shuddered.
Mori Calliope blinks nervously.
“Yes, Burnice” they said in unison https://t.co/CONfnpO2a5— portal (@portouver) October 20, 2024
