"But The Yo-Yo Master Did Not Answer, He Just Kept On Yo-ing" is a viral clip from an instructional VHS cassette about Yo-Yo techniques which first grew popular on Vine in 2015. The clip saw later use as inspiration for fan animations and fan art using various characters.
Origin
The clip comes from the VHS cassette titled The Smothers Brothers Yo-Yo Man Instructional Video, which was released in 1988. In the clip, which is narrated by Dick Smothers, Tom Smothers encounters "The Yo Master" and asks to make him a yo-yo man. However, The Yo Master doesn't speak as the narrator says "But The Yo-Yo master did not answer, he just kept on yo-ing." (shown below, left). The clip was posted to Vine by Grimy Ghost on July 21st, 2015, where it received over 26.3 million loops, over 10,600 likes, and over 5,300 revines in over six years (YouTube reupload shown below, right).[1]

On November 24th, 2016, YouTube user razzmatazzez posted an animatic using the voice lines with two furry characters. The video (shown below, left) received over 11,000 views in over six years. On January 14th, 2018, YouTube user Mochi Cosmichi posted an animatic using the voice lines with Lucas and Ness from the Mother / Earthbound series. The video (shown below, right) received over 48,000 views in over five years.
On February 5th, 2018, YouTube user "hey man -" used the voice lines in a Flipnote animation of Jasper and Smoky Quartz from Steven Universe. The animation (shown below, left) received over 19,000 views in over five years. On March 20th, 2019, YouTube user Mirabeau Studios used the voice lines in a Source Filmmaker animation of Dr. Breen and their OC, Azure. The SFM animation (shown below, right) received over 219,000 views in over three years.
