On October 1st, 2015, Caleb was taken to a hospital in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, where he was pronounced deceased. In a statement to People,[3] the public information officer of state medical examiner's office in Baltimore, Maryland revealed that the cause of death was under investigation.

Notable Developments

On October 2nd, the officiallybratayley Instagram[2] feed posted a photograph of Caleb, announcing he had died the previous evening of "natural causes" (shown below). Within 72 hours, the photo gathered upwards of 206,000 comments and 200,000 likes.

The following day, the Bratayley's uploaded a video in which Caleb talks to his "future self" on the day prior to his death (shown below, left). On October 4th, 2015, the Bratayley channel uploaded a video titled "Caleb, Gone But Never Forgotten," featuring various video clips of Caleb (shown below, right).

On October 3rd, Redditor GZATheG submitted a post asking about Caleb's death to the /r/OutOfTheLoop subreddit, where it gathered upwards of 1,600 votes (87% upvoted) and 320 comments in the first 48 hoirs.
