Caution!! X Bounce!!, known as ""What the Hell Am I Doing?" Series" (Japanese: 何やってんだ俺シリーズ, Nani Yattennda Ore Series) in Japan, refers to a series of hand-drawn animated videos of girls bounicng their breast, who are mainly from Touhou project series. Many videos related to this series are posted to the Japanese video sharing service Nico Nico Douga (NND) and YouTube.

Origin

The first instance of this series was a hand-drawn animated video uploaded to NND on July 30th, 2011 by a user roah.^[1] In this video, he made Utsuho Reiuji, a big breast girl in Touhou Project, bounce her breast with her symbolic warning line "Caution!!" and the main theme song of Spelunker. The original post of this 20-second video on NND is played endlessly by auto loop feature in NND video player and had been watched over 200,000 times within its first year.

And, roah left a short comment in a description of the original post with a touch of self-derision "What the Hell Am I Doing…".

Spread

This simple animation that was quite loyal in boy's libido as same as X on Riding Machine and X on Treadmill inspired not few people partly due to his humorous comment. Amatuer animators soon began posting videos mimicking the style of this video, and the series of those videos were named "What the Hell Am I Doing Series" from the originator's comment. Among those videos, one of early responses posted by Doujin illustrator Kingindo Yumeji^[2] on Ausugt 2nd 2011 which set an additional character/object on bottom left, became a standard template of this series (shown below). As of May 2012, the amount of videos realted to this series on NND is about 140.^[3]

Meanwhile on YouTube, this series is known as Caution!! X Bounce!! because several imported videos from NND were retitled by this phrasal template. There are a few videos made by YouTube users outside of Japan.^[4]
