Check Steam is a recent phrase used in the Geometry Dash community in which a user convinces and baits another user to "check" the Geometry Dash Steam page for the release of the upcoming 2.2 update, only to find out that it's not actually released. People who use the phrase usually embed a fake, edited screengrab of Steam saying that the update is available for download, or an edited tweet from RobTop, the game's developer, saying that the update is out.

The meme spread on platforms such as Twitter/X, but it really began its spread on the r/geometrydash subreddit. This is one of the other major recent memes in the Geometry Dash community, alongside Congregation Jumpscares and Devil Vortex Saws.
