Overview
Cinna, Emiru, Valkyrae Threatened by Stalker While Streaming refers to a video clip of Twitch streamers Valkyra, Emiru and Cinna getting harassed and threatened with death at Santa Monica Pier by a man who allegedly stream sniped them during a marathon stream in early March 2025. In the clip, the man attempts to get Emiru's phone number and she refuses. He then follows them and threatens to kill them, resulting in the girls calling for security and eventually the police. The women announced that they were unharmed following the incident but canceled the rest of their marathon stream. As the clip went viral, social media users attempted to find the identity of the harasser. The event inspired discourse about the difficulties of streaming as a woman.
Background
On March 2nd, 2025, Twitch streamers Emiru, Cinna and Valkyrae hosted a joint streaming marathon known as "Sisathon." At one point in the stream while visiting Santa Monica Pier in California, the women got off a Ferris wheel. A man sitting against a ride sees them passing and asks if he can sing for them in exchange for Emiru's number. They try to leave the situation and he says he's going to keep following them as the group walks off and he follows. They proceed to get in line for churros, still watching for the man, then decide to leave.
As the women are leaving, the harasser starts yelling at them. The streamers ask for security at the pier to come help them as he approaches the group of women. Security approaches the man and asks him what's going on as suddenly he tries to rush past them to the streamers, saying, "I'll kill you right now." The streamers finally leave and the stream ends.
The clip was uploaded to the subreddit /r/livestreamfail[1] that night, garnering over 5,000 upvotes and 1,100 comments in a day.
