On May 17th, 2017, artist David T. Michaels posted a comic to Instagram[1] in which a son yells "Dad! There is a monster under my bed!" leading the father to discover a Monster energy drink can (shown below). Within seven months, the post gained over 28,100 likes.

Within four months, the post gained over 1,900 points (93% upvoted) on /r/tf2.[1] The same day, the Woken Memes Facebook page posted a photoshop combining the comic with the Powder That Makes You Say Yes meme (shown below, right).

Hold up a moment… A typical webcomic exploitable where not only is the original comic decently funny instead of generic, but also, the edits themselves are also decently funny and NOT a "thing I don't like" attempt..?

This year's endgame memes turned out much better than expected.
