Das Good Shit is a series of exploitables based on a four-panel webcomic by J.L. Westover. Online, people have customized the third panel of Westover's comic, so that the character in red will refer to whatever they want as "good shit."

Origin

On March 23rd, 2017, cartoonist J.L. Westover published the original comic to his website, MrLovenstein.com.^[1] The comic (shown below) follows the following sequence: 1) Two men on a park bench, the one in red says, "Got the shit?" 2) The man in the trenchcoat hands him an envelope. 3) The man in red opens the envelope to reveal a note that says, "You matter." 4) The man in red says, "Das good shit."

That day, Westover posted the comic to his Facebook^[2] and Twitter^[3] pages. On Twitter, the comic received more than 300 retweets and 700 likes. On Facebook, the comic received more than 14,000 reactions and 8,400 shares. Westover published the comic on the /r/comics^[4] subreddit, where it received more than 31,200 points (85 upvoted) and 214 comments. Redditor Xxallahuakbar69xX reposted it on the /r/WholesomeMemes^[5] subreddit, where it received more than 27,000 points (88% upvoted) and 170 comments.

That day, the Facebook account Space Socialism posted a photoshopped version of the meme in which the third panel note reads "Fully Automated Luxury Gay Space Communism."^[6] The post (shown below, left) received more than 300 reactions and 41 shares. The next day, on March 24th, on the /r/The_Donald subreddit, Redditor DrugReeference added "Bill Clinton is a rapist" to the third panel. The post (shown below, right) received more than 900 points (96% upvoted).
