Demons Are Gonna Torture You refers to a viral video and original sound on TikTok where a young boy gives a monologue about the horrors of hell and why people should follow Jesus rather than Satan, describing how demons are going to torture you in hell. The video was uploaded to TikTok in February 2021 and went viral a year later in lip dubs and comedy skits on the platform.

Origin

On February 15th, 2021, TikToker^[1] @ladyservant28, also known as Servant of the Highest God, posted a video where a young child gives a monologue about the horrors of hell. He starts by asking the viewer if they would end up in heaven if they died now, then urges people not to follow Satan. He then goes on about the tortures demons in hell perform, like whipping and stabbing and speaks about how hot the fires of hell probably are, saying, "You can't even put your hand on a stove maximum hot for 5-10 seconds. Imagine that but hotter and all over your body." The video gained over 5 million views in a year.

If you were to die right now where do you think you would go? Would you be in heaven with the Lord, or would you be in hell suffering? None of us are perfect! None of us deserve to go to heaven, but God died for us so we can get a change to go to heaven and not hell. I don't know why people choose Satan just to get money and fame and all these nice things. But one day we're all gonna die and we're gonna stand before God and He's gonna judge us and He's gonna ask you what you've done for Him. But then you realize you've never done anything for Him! Hell isn't a joke, it's so bad! Demons are gonna torture you, you're gonna be burned, you're gonna be stabbed, you're gonna be raped, you're gonna be whipped. You can't even cry for help! No one can save you! Imaging how hot hell is. You can't even put your hand on a stove maximum hot for 5-10 seconds. Imagine that but hotter and all over your body. I'm not joking! God died for us for a reason.

In March 2022, the video's original sound^[2] saw increased usage on TikTok. For example, on March 3rd, TikToker^[3] @chenaibao1 posted a video processing an aloe vera plant using the sound, gaining over 5.8 million views in four weeks (shown below).

On March 17th, TikToker^[4] @nomeatmashers posted a video where he whips when the kid talks about whipping, gaining over 4.9 million views in two weeks (shown below, left). On the same day, TikToker^[5] @jacks.wack posted a skit comparing the monologue to middle school teachers telling their students about high school, gaining over 3.1 million views in the same span of time (shown below, right).

On March 28th, the official Duolingo TikTok^[6] page posted a skit referencing Karens using the audio, gaining over 1.7 million views in a day (shown below).
