The Elon Musk and Ashley St. Clair Baby Scandal refers to a viral controversy surrounding billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk and conservative, MAGA influencer Ashley St. Clair, who alleged to have given birth to Musk's 13th child in late 2024. St. Clair went public about the child on Twitter / X in mid-February 2025, attacking Musk in a series of tweets for not responding to her. The controversy furthered discourse among many about Musk being perceived as a bad father and immoral person. Musk's defenders instead mocked St. Clair, either calling her a liar or believing that she only slept with Musk for his money as the scandal spread online. Alleged Signal messages between Musk and St. Clair were shared online after they were discovered in the New York State Court file on the paternity suit. In response, Isabella Moody leaked alleged messages about St. Clair and Elon Musk.

On February 14th, 2025, Ashley St. Clair, a Republican pundit and frequent Fox News commentator, shared a statement to X^[1] that read, "Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father." Further, she urged tabloids to give her and her child privacy. Over three days, the post received roughly 47 million views and 43,000 likes (shown below).

News outlets like the Independent^[2] reported on St. Clair's claims on the day as the story garnered immense press coverage.

On February 15th, the New York Post^[3] published an exclusive interview with St. Clair who alleged that an unnamed tabloid reporter "ambushed" her inquiring about the claim. She claimed that the reporter sparked her decision to go public with the baby and his alleged father.

St. Clair's representative stated, "We are waiting for Elon to publicly acknowledge his parental role with Ashley, to end unwarranted speculation, and Ashley trusts that Elon intends to finish their agreement quickly, in the best interests of the wellbeing and security of the child they share." St. Clair also told the Post that she allegedly met Musk on X in May 2023, saying, "He slid into my DMs."

On February 15th, conservative pundit Milo Yiannopoulos tweeted,^[5] "Ashley St Clair plotted for HALF A DECADE to ensnare Elon Musk," showing an old reply from St. Clair about Musk that read, "Well he actually has 7 kids & goes through women pretty fast." Yiannopoulos' tweet received over 56,000 likes in two days (shown below).

In the replies to Yiannopoulos' tweet, Elon Musk tweeted,^[6] "Whoa," receiving over 24,000 likes in two days.

St. Clair then replied to Musk, writing, "Elon, we have been trying to communicate for the past several days and you have not responded. When are you going to reply to us instead of publicly responding to smears from an individual who just posted photos of me in underwear at 15 years old?" The tweet^[7] has since been deleted. However, a screenshot of it was added to archive.is^[8] (shown below).

By February 17th, 2025, Musk hadn't directly responded to St. Clair on social media outside of the abovementioned reply.^[9]

Online Reactions

Amid the scandal in mid-February 2025, some initial reactions to St. Clair's post manifested in reposts of old X interactions between Musk and St. Clair before she was allegedly impregnated by him.

For instance, on February 14th, 2025, X^[10] user @NeoReaganism tweeted, "Elon Musk would impregnate Ashley St. Clair roughly one month after this tweet," showing an interaction in which St. Clair said she stopped taking birth control and Adderall and Musk replied, "For sure." The tweet received over 2,900 likes in three days (shown below).

On February 15th, X^[11] user @bethanyshondark tweeted a screenshot of St. Clair's "Elon, we have been trying to communicate" tweet,^[8] captioning it, "I strongly recommend having a baby daddy who lives in your house, so that you don’t have to tweet him," gaining over 75,000 likes in two days (shown below).

Others joked about the number of "baby mamas" Elon Musk had, especially if St. Clair's claim was true. For instance, on February 14th, 2025, X^[12] user @_realJAG tweeted about Christians congratulating Musk on his "8th baby mama," highlighting a perceived double standard among his fan base. The tweet received over 2,500 likes in three days (shown below).

Similarly, on February 16th, rapper Meek Mill tweeted,^[13] "It's no way I'm letting Elon Musk have more baby mothers than me lol," gaining over 103,000 likes in a day (shown below).

On February 15th, 2025, Redditor^[14] the_recovery1 posted to the subreddit /r/EnoughMuskSpam about St. Clair's "Elon, we have been trying to communicate" tweet,^[8] gaining over 4,300 upvotes in two days.

Alleged Signal Messages

On February 22nd, 2025, the New York State Court released photos used in Ashley St. Clair's paternity lawsuit that showed alleged Signal messages between her and Elon Musk.^[15]

On that day, three of the photos were tweeted by X^[16] user @AFpost, gaining over 22,000 likes in three days (shown below). In the first, Musk allegedly wrote, "I want to knock you up again." In the second, he said, "Well, we do have a legion of kids to make." In the third conversation, Musk's fear of assassination is then expressed.

Many users reacted to the alleged messages, like X^[17] user @mayaisfiya on February 23rd, who quote tweeted the post and wrote, "Knowing he's this scared of us honestly warms my heart a little bit," referencing the assassination of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson and the assassination attempt on Donald Trump in July 2024. The quote received over 214,000 likes in two days (shown below).

Isabella Moody's Alleged Text Leak

On February 22nd, 2025, X^[18] user @IsabellaIsMoody tweeted in line with her and Laura Loomer's response to Ashley St. Clair's Signal messages. She wrote:

I agree with @LauraLoomer. I wasn’t going to post these, but now that @stclairashley has leaked her private signal messages with @elonmusk after lying and saying she 'wanted privacy,' here’s more evidence Ashely planned to baby trap Elon.

The post also leaked alleged messages between her and Ashley St. Clair when St. Clair was first courting Musk on X. In the screenshots (shown below), it's claimed that St. Clair said, "I need his rocket babies," and, "I need a caption to seduce Elon
Musk / 'Thinking about the dangers of AI,'" among others. @IsabellaIsMoody's post gained over 37,000 likes in three days.
