Emelia Holden Body Slamming a Groper refers to a viral video of a female restaurant server physically defending herself after a man grabs her buttocks without her consent.
Origin
On July 19th, The Sun uploaded closed circuit television footage from a June 30th incident of a restaurant customer grabbing a female server by the buttocks and being thrown to the ground, after the woman realizes what happened. The post (shown below) received more than 600,000 views in 24 hours.[1]
Emelia Holden, the server, told the Daily Mail, "I just did what I felt was best. I took the guy down and had my co-workers call the police. As soon as the cops saw the CCTV footage, they immediately arrested the man. He sat in jail until Monday so in my opinion, he got what he deserved."

That day, people and other news outlets began sharing the video. That day, Instagram [2] user @joeclair shared the video and the comment, "That’s WTF YOU GET!!! Teach our daughters how to check a chump if she got to!" The post (shown below, left) received more than 1,000 likes and 7,000 views in 24 hours.
The Twitter [3] account @ATLBlackStar tweeted the video with the caption "'GA waitress Emelia Holden is seen on camera being sexually violated by 31 yr old Ryan Cherwinksi. Holden slammed him into a chair She told said “I just did what I felt was best, I took the guy down and had my co-workers call the police.' Cherwinksi was charged w/ sexual battery." The post (shown below, center) received more than 20,000 retweets, 65,000 likes and 2 million views.
Additionally, the Guardian shared[4] the video (shown below, right), receiving more than 1,700 retweets and 6,400 likes in 24 hours.
