On February 24th, 2022, Redditor forzenny posted in the subreddit /r/thomastheplankengine^[1] that they'd had a "dream" with an image macro reading "Emergency Frog Situation" that was "plastered all over Twitter."^[1] The backing track to the meme is "We Are Number One." The post received over 6,800 likes in two and a half years.

Spread

On December 8th, 2023, YouTuber^[2] Matt Rose included it in a YouTube video about memes from the subreddit /r/thomastheplankengine, voicing the "Emergency Frog Situation" caption. The video gained over 2.2 million views in nine months.

A repost of the "Emergency Frog Situation" moment was uploaded to YouTube^[3] on December 18th by A Random Cheesecake, who notably used the Papyrus font in their title, gaining over 65,000 views in a similar timeframe.
