Overview
The Palm Beach County Learjet 60 Plane Crash, also known as the November 2026 Florida Private Jet Crash, refers to an aviation accident in which a private Learjet 60 business jet crashed into a residential area of Palm Beach County, Florida, on November 1st, 2026, killing all nine people aboard, including 55-year-old captain Jeff Gregory and 20-year-old copilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, as well as tech entrepreneur Adam Robinson and his family and friends. The incident notably became the deadliest crash involving a Learjet 60 at the time.
In the following days, the plane crash went viral across social media platforms after dashcam footage of the aircraft's rapid descent and impact surfaced online, as well as videos of the aftermath and an ATC audio recording of the final moments. As discourse and media coverage spread, numerous conspiracy theories also cropped up online, with some claiming the plane was shot down by air defense systems or was actually a missile and fake. Many suggested it was weather-related due to strong thunderstorms in the area, which the jet passed through.
Background
On November 1st, 2026, at approximately 12:50 p.m. ET, a Bombardier Learjet 60 private business jet crashed near Military Trail, between Cresthaven Boulevard and 10th Avenue North, in Palm Beach County, Florida. The crash occurred near the communities of Greenacres and Cresthaven, approximately seven miles southwest of West Palm Beach.[1]
The aircraft, a mid-size cabin Learjet 60 built in 2004 and registered to a Delaware limited liability company, had departed Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas and was en route to the Bahamas. All nine people aboard were killed in the crash.[2]
Per NBC[3], the aircraft had been traveling east at approximately 35,000 feet when its crew reported moderate turbulence, icing conditions and precipitation. A crew member reportedly told air traffic control that they were "managing the ice" before requesting permission to climb. The aircraft subsequently entered a rapid, uncontrolled descent, with reported descent rates ranging from approximately 10,000 to as much as 20,000 to 30,000 feet per minute. Flight data indicated that the jet lost roughly 27,000 feet of altitude in approximately one minute.[3]
On November 1st, 2026, aviation-centric YouTube[4] channel @HeadingUnknownDocs posted an in-depth breakdown detailing the events of the crash and identifying key factors that contributed to the eventual tragedy. The video received over 319,000 views in less than one day.
Air traffic control recordings captured multiple mayday calls from the aircraft during its descent. In the recordings, a crew member, later described as a woman, said the aircraft was overspeeding and descending rapidly, stating, "we are going to crash into the ground," before a scream was heard.[3]
A news report posted November 1st, 2026, by YouTube[5] channel @KCENNews offered more information regarding the incident, which received over 314,000 in less than one day.
The following day, various news outlets began releasing the names of the nine victims, including 20-year-old co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha. On November 2nd, 2026, the official Daily Mail TikTok[6] page posted a video identifying Gadelha, which received 7.5 million views and 756,000 likes in about four hours.

@junkmotherjess If, “it’s shaped like a missile“ is the only thing you have to go off of you’re gonna be shocked to find out that’s something planes, and missiles already had in common #Learjet #westpalmbeach #westpalmbeachplanecrash #planecrashtoday ♬ original sound – Junk Mother
