Evil Jonkler Cart is a series of memes about vaping the hypothetical "Evil Jonkler cart," a vape cart referencing "the Jonkler," which is an intentional misspelling of The Joker. Memes about the Evil Jonkler cart first began appearing online as early as May 2024 and were popularized on TikTok in July of that year. The memes often use an AI-generated animation of The Joker laughing and moving his head erratically to a remix of China's Got Talent contestant Liu Lei laughing during a performance on the show.
Origin
On May 19th, 2024, TikToker[1] @_und1sput3d_ posted a video consisting of a low-res AI animation of The Joker spinning his head erratically and laughing under the caption, "when bro take the evil jonkler cart," garnering over 323,000 views in three months (shown below). The video is set to a remix of China's Got Talent contestant Liu Lei laughing during a performance on a season six episode of the show.[2]

Memes about taking the Evil Jonkler cart and more broadly referencing the term "evil Jonkler" in general gained viral spread on TikTok and Instagram over the following weeks. On June 21st, 2024, Instagram[3] user evil.jonkler.cart.daily reposted the meme by @_und1sput3d_ and continued to repost it daily, along with the occasional variant of it, over the following weeks. On July 17th, the Instagram[4] user posted a version of the meme that gained over 18,000 likes in two weeks.
On the same day, TikToker[5] @realace5star posted a version of the meme that gained over 141,000 views in two weeks (shown below, left). On July 18th, TikToker[6] @sparklesandchampagne1738 posted a meme referencing the evil Jonkler cart that gained over 72,000 views in two weeks (shown below, right).
