Mistikal

This is my fakemon idea, <a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/6wdy4z1i2ekh06a/Pok%C3%A9mon%20Concept%20-%20Mistikal%20%28Pok%C3%A9mon%20Online%20Version%29.docx?dl=0">Mistikal!</a> It was originally an evolution of Spiritomb, but I tweaked the concept further and it became a legendary Pokémon bioengineered by <a href="https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Cipher">Cipher</a> to invade people's bodies and control their minds, the idea being that by literally controlling the minds of the world's leaders, Cipher could usurp them. So, obviously, Mistikal has to be snagged before that can happen.

In battle, Mistikal is a Poison/Psychic-type Pokémon with a solid Special Attack score, good Speed, and great defenses. While it <i>can</i> function as a special sweeper, it's held back by a lackluster offensive movepool, getting few viable moves not of the Poison, Psychic, Ghost, or Dark types. <a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/oywf526ea3tapv1/Smogon-Style%20Analysis%20-%20Mistikal.docx?dl=0">Where it's meant to shine</a> is in taking apart your opponent's strategy via things like status effects, move-screwing (Taunt, Torment, Disable, Encore, etc.), and its signature move, Corruption, which can temporarily steal your opponent's Pokémon. However, it poisons the opponent's Pokémon in the process of stealing them, and if the poison is cured, it loses control (and it can't steal Pokémon that can't be poisoned). Mistikal also has a signature ability, Shadow Toxin, which amplifies Poison damage and causes Poison to take a page from Paralysis - poisoned opponents fail to act 50% of the time.

The canonical design is the one on the right.
