Finger 🖕

On Wednesday the 7th of April 2021 at approximately 6:30am NZT a Facebook user with the display name "Toria Victoria" posted in the New Zealand Metal Facebook group what appeared at first glance a regular introductory greeting.

Upon closer inspection the community began to detect something amiss with authenticity of the post based on the tone, content and context.

Key indicators that the poster and post were either inauthentic, phishing and or trolling the group:

1. Brand new Facebook profile
2. Zero mutual friends with anybody in the group
3. Only stock photography and images of celebs on profile

In a matter of hours the community had grown particularly fixated with the sign off of the original post which simply read…
"Finger 🖕"

The following copypasta formatted version of the original post began to quickly circulate the group also:
