About
Get 'Em Banned refers to a viral video turned reaction video featuring former Peloton instructor Kendall Toole requesting that a user be banned for misconduct. The video first gained traction on TikTok and later X/Twitter. Following the virality of the video, the phrase "Get 'em banned. We don't do that here" has since been adopted as popular slang used online.
Origin
Peloton is a U.S. based fitness company that sells internet-connected exercise equipment and offers subscription virtual instructor-led workout classes, which are accessed through Peloton equipment and allow users to follow along in real time with a professional trainer.[1] The clip is derived from a 20-minute Tabata ride with instructor Kendall Toole, which originally aired in August 2023.[2]
In an interview with Cosmopolitan, the former Peloton instructor recalls the incident that sparked her reaction in the viral clip, claiming that a hateful and offensive leaderboard name on the platform had somehow evaded moderation.[3]
